I have two RX7's left here in my yard I need to do something with.  See the pics below.  Click on the pic to enlarge.

The RED RX7...
The red one I purchased with the gold one I turned into a V8RX7.  I used the red one for spare parts, using the RF fender and headlight motor.  The passenger seat went into a Mail Jeep.   The engines from both the red and gold cars went to an auction on ebay and brought about $500.   Everything else that came with the red car when I bought it is still here.  The 5 speed trans and rear end are here.  The hood, LF door and hatch, glass and sunroof are good.   The electronics are still in it.  It is a solid frame with no rust perforation.  It could be useful as a shell for a drag car or as spare parts for another project car.

The BLUE RX7...
I bought this car about a year ago as my next project car.  It was driven daily by a police officer I know.  She got married and got a Lincoln to drive.  The RX7 sat parked in her back yard for almost 6 years until she sold it to me.  It was running fine when parked.  I had to bush-hog a path to it and drag it to the street with my tractor.  After trailering it home, I took a look at what it would take to get it running again.  I drained the gas tank and flushed a few gallons through it to wash out any debris.  A new battery was installed and I cranked her over.  No start.

Three things you need at the right times to run... Compression, fuel and spark.  Compression test showed me 150 psi.  Good compression.  Fuel?  I unhooked the fuel line from the return to the tank.  No fuel.  Put a test light on the Yellow/Black to the fuel pump.  No juice.  I remembered that the Mass Air Flow sensor has to be open, air flowing opens it, to ground the brown wire to the ecm that tells the Main Relay to close and send voltage to the fuel pump so the engine will run.  I propped the air flow sensor open and checked again.  Still no voltage at the pump.  I swapped the main relay under the dash with the relay from the red RX7 sitting beside it.  Still no voltage.  I then started checking the wire harness to see if it was good, no bad connections between the ign. switch, the MAF sensor, the ECM, and main relay.  I found a place on the under hood wire harness on the passenger side where a rodent had chewed through a few wires, making room for himself to get into the inner fender.  Pretty sure he got the MAF wires.  Started to rain and that is where I stopped working on it.  Haven't really touched it since.  I did pressure wash the engine compartment to clean out the mouse house there.

The blue rx7 is in much better shape than the gold rx7 I used as my project car.  It needs a good bath inside and out.  I was told that it was repainted about a year before she parked it.  The paint ain't in the best shape but the body is solid with no rust anywhere.  No bondo anywhere either.  She said she had a small dent in the hood fixed when it was painted.  Otherwise, straight body.  I wish I had seen it before starting on the car I used.  I would have saved about 100 hours getting the body straight.

I have good clear title to both cars.  The red car is an '86 model and the blue is an '89.  They both need to go.  I have the ultimate V8RX7 sitting in my driveway and don't need another... nor do I have the time to build another.  If you are interested in one, you're gonna get both as they are a package deal.  I'll even help get them to your yard if you are not too far from Birmingham.  Call me at 205-966-2137 or email me at foprange@bellsouth.net with offers.  I have a really low reserve in mind.
