Day one - Engine in

Update Friday Nov. 12, '05, 11pm.
I fixed the above boo boo's with about an hour of hand sanding it down to bare metal, then primer, sand, primer, sand, shoot yellow.  Turned out perfect.  I forgot to get a pic of the after.

I have the clear coat on the paint under the hood and spent today getting the engine and trans back in.  The clear really brought out the yellow.  You almost have to squint to look at it.

Purty, aint't it.  The diamond plate radiator mounts and fan shroud turned out great.

Looks like I'm about ready for the color coat.  The hood scoop is a 1969 Ford 429SCJ Boss Mustang reproduction piece.  It hides the 15" hole in the hood pretty good.  I need a grill for the front to finish it off.   I still need to move the headlight doors in a little to get everything lined up.  Tomorrow morning, I'll shoot it.

The spoiler is from a 1991 rx7 I found on Ebay for $100.  I wet sanded it with 600 grit to cut the shine off the surface.  Its ready for paint.

Here is my paint booth.  Plastic on both ends with air filters on the back and fans blowing out the front.  Creates a nice cross flow and should keep the crap off the car while I shoot it.  You can see the back wall with the filters in a few of the pics above.
I'll update again tomorrow...
