First, I spent a few hours poking through the web looking for examples of the stripes I wanted.  I printed out a few and taped them to the wall to use as a guide...


Hood stripes...  I like the early 70's chevelle stripes.  The yell "muscle car".


Gonna paint the bumper trim and body side moldings same color as the rally stripes

I spent most of the day laying out the stripes and masking the car. All the time spent was worth it.  Then down goes the PPG Deltron Dark Metalic Silver paint for the stripes and trim... Turned out great.




Clear-coat really made the paint turn on.  One problem... seems bugs like it too.  I have a few to wet sand out.  Had a run on each door at the mirror.  After the paint gets a little harder, I'll wet sand the car all over and shoot another two coats of clear.  I have about 3 quarts left to mix and use.
